The Left is Insane

Back in January, the left decided "civility" was the way to go. The leader of that movement, the absurdly named Debbie Wasserman Schultz, has since accused Republicans of wanting to "literally drag us back to Jim Crow days", compared small government conservatives to "a dictatorship", and referred to Paul Ryan's reforms as "a death trap for seniors" and tantamount to "throwing [people] to the wolves." Of course, I predicted the utter mendacity of the "civility" campaign when it first arose:
In other words, the call for "civilty" is nothing more than a call for surrender to the liberal zeitgeist...One can conclude then that the only viable option for conservatives to achieve civility is to fully accept leftism...Over the past few days, we've seen that leftists will attempt to neuter conservatism in the guise of tolerance.
But the larger question - what does any of this mean outside of that political fad earlier this year? Specifically, can we actually seek reconciliation with the left, a common understanding that transcends the political divide and works towards the betterment of this nation? Right now, the answer is hell no. Conservatives must seek reform by appealing to the increasingly aggrieved masses in which I believe reactionary right-wing politics lays dormant. While many Democrat-voting suburbanites vote out of mere ignorance, status-seeking, or passive credulity, the "informed" left, the Daily Kos commenters, the Ivy League law graduates, and the Democrats in Congress, have gone off the deep end.

Honestly, they've gone insane. Let me show an example and while it's just one, I'll confidently assert one can find instances of this from just about every liberal commenter on the Internet. A review of the new Justin Timberlake movie "In Time" appears in the Rupert Murdoch-owned New York Post. The reviewer calls the thriller "dumb" and notes the rather obvious soft-socialist undertones of the film. Basically, the "rich" (with wealth defined by actual years someone gets to live) are a bunch of greedy thieves and the hero engages in a Robin Hood-esque campaign against them. The reviewer merely denigrates the wealth redistributionist message, a type of argument one would encounter in the University of Chicago's economics department:
The movie (written and directed by Andrew Niccol, who wrote “The Truman Show”) assumes that behind every great fortune lies a great crime, yet the most massive injustice we see is when a time cop played by Cillian Murphy convicts and punishes Will for time theft, with no evidence. In fact, Will has come by his time-stash legitimately, yet the cop seizes almost all of Will’s time on the spot without trial. The movie thinks it’s about abuse of capitalism, but it’s more about abuse of authority, and of logic.

At the end, “In Time” thinks it’s being very up-to-date when it suggests a major stimulus/redistribution program would make the workers of the world rise up against private industry. This future looks awfully passé: The stimulus didn’t work out. Neither did 1917 Russia.
Let me summarize: Communism is bad and capitalism lets people earn their money, so let's give people economic freedom independent of an abusive authority system. And now for the coup-de-grace - a commenter responds (with two 'Likes'):
Wow - Even Faux News movie reviewers are required to spew right wing Tea Party hate speech. Did you get that line about Karl Marx from listening to the Pillsbury Doughboy? And 1917 Russia was a lot better for most Russians than 1910 Russia.
That was "right-wing hate speech"!?! Seriously, let me repeat that - "right-wing hate speech". But his comment gets even better and illustrates the unbelievable hypocrisy of the left and why the Right should no longer consider them even minimally viable political partners:
Just as someday when the peasants in this country rise up and hang the Murdochs of the world life will be better for the majority.
Capitalism = "right-wing hate speech". Reveling in the murder of the upper class = totally cool.

The Left is done as a respectable institution. Hopefully it will destroy itself soon enough.

The Left is not insane, it is evil. The mindless followers, like the drone who left the comment about hate speech, are insane/stupid.

Anyone in control of his faculties, knows that the entirety of what the Left vomits out, is in denial of reality. Yet, only by sounding off anonymously, can our voice be heard. Decades of PC programming have left us defenseless. It's not that we can't fight back; it's that we can't even discuss what is wrong.

I agree. The professional Left, like politicians, "activists", and sociology professors, are (on the cusp of) evil and the foot soldiers like the one cited are insane/stupid.

Considering the context, there's nothing absurd about that particular name...

Aaaah, the Jim Crow days...

Horrific times. People allowed to hire/associate with whomever they pleased. The reality, the sweet reality, of acknowledging the differences between the races.

I have a dream, too...

I agree with the first comment.

The Left, or the globalist Judeo-African Multikult, is not insane. It is evil.

Their rhetoric amounts to nothing less than incitement to violence. They are clamoring for (civil) war.

I for one look forward to the day the gloves come off.

When a leftist says "civility", it means "right wingers shut up and never call us on our bullshit."

The left hasn't been a respectable institution since the 19th century.

I'm not defending her or anything, but why is the name "Debbie Wasserman Schultz" absurd?

'Debbie Wasserman Schultz'.

Add it to the 'Where do Jews get these names?' file I guess.

The cry of "hate" is a tactic, and a very effective one. Until we find out a way to defuse this charge, you'll be wrong about the left self-destructing.

Key to a good steak: do not overcook

Yeah, I think that's the key to almost all good cooking. That and don't undercook it either.

To defuse the charge of "hate", refer to "hate facts" such as 37,000 reported black-on-white rapes per year and ZERO reported white-on-black rapes per year.

When the DWLs claim the figures are falsified, call them out for saying that women lie about rape, which is "hate speech".

And say it with a sneer.  Mock their mockery of logic, reason and fairness.

Very true. The biggest problem with it is the sheer numbers we face. Go try and simply question the damage that blacks have done/are doing, to this country. It's not just hard-core Liberal nuts who will shout "rayciss!!!"; it's the full 52% who voted in Obama, PLUS at least 50% of those who call themselves Republicans! Even a sizable percentage of "conservatives" will swing the rayciss hammer with full power, as they vote for "Herman Cain for Prezidint!!"

When 50-75% of your own side fights using the bad guy's ROE's, you are toast...

I tend to think that trying to assign such a label (evil) to people is unproductive on a political level as well as a personal level. (It's actually what the left does; yes, I know their taste in values is sorely lacking but one should (imho) avoid their thought patterns in every way in addition to shunning their value system.)

I don't mean this as a personal attack nor do I mean to come off as someone obnoxiously nitpicking because I often do the same. I just thought this was an opportunity to make this point because I feel it's an important one for alt right readers to understand because there is a lot of understandable anger on our side.

Such resentful language is the expression of the weak and powerless (and thus the words are conducive toward the trappings of a weak and powerless mindset), rather than the expression of strength (stoic resolve) in face of diversity ...err... I mean, adversity. We need to think in terms of strength even while in a state of political weakness.

In short, I think it's enough for us to express disapproval and leave it at that instead of feeling our way toward superlative adjectives and concepts like evil. Righteous indignation is dangerous even if the left is more reckless about applying it.

I'm not trying to flag you with a thought crime. It's just some honest advice about thinking about thinking that I find to not only be truthful, but also very helpful in terms of dealing with the modern Albatross around us. One of the unforeseen side-effects has been a certain peaceful resolve to accept the world even while wishing for its change. I no longer feel like I have the life sucked out of me despite my pessimism that comes from not hiding from life itself (and all its ugly truths) like liberals do.

Point taken, well said.

I've only recently begun describing the left as "evil", precipitated by their coverage of events like the Carter Strange beating:

Thank you, kindly.

I certainly understand the sentiments.

I'm glad you understood that my appeal was for our sanity in the face of what we're dealt with as opposed to some leftist attempt to shine a turd.

Cheers.

Keep up the good work.

The Left is not insane. Ginning up something like "hang the rich" has worked before, and is part of the standard playbook of the Left.

The only thing that the Left has not figured on is the racial divide that now affects most White people even though they don't ever express it openly. [Because White women generally punish in the Sexual Marketplace any display of White group solidarity, preferring basically "antlers" or massive displays of robust genes by abjuring group identity politics/interests.]

Most White people are rich. In defacto spoils divisions of rich/poor, most Middle/Working class folks will side with racial peers against the "diverse community." Russell Simmons, with a gold toilet (no, not kidding) showing up at OWS was poison. As is Michael Moore (generally viewed as anti-ordinary-White guy agitator).

Economic uncertainty makes people cling HARDER to racial solidarity and (if unexpressed) racial identity. Because it is their only port in the storm.

Whiskey said...

Let me add, the Left has spent nearly fifty years demonizing ordinary Whites, and now expects them to join a "diverse" community as the guys who stand in the back of the Bus. Forever! Few will take that up, even with all the favorable media coverage.

What OWS is really is the last harvest of the politics of intimidation. Give us what we want or we'll do drum circles, shakedowns, and random riots. While demanding open borders and full employment. Particularly for Feminist and Latino Studies. No one is buying this, it is the revolt of the elites, spoiled trust fund college kids and professional hippies. No Bonus Army here, no Hoovervilles, no ordinary people with broad sympathy among the people.

You can't play the racial card without paying a cost sooner or later. This is the cost. No one among the White middle and working classes in any appreciable numbers will come down because the Left is defacto anti-White guy (and to an extent, anti-White woman too).

The revolution is left with: aging hippies, pot heads and transients, professional agitators, Blacks and Hispanics, or the ultimate, Alberto Fujimori self-coup. Obama just suspending or invalidating elections, getting five Supreme Court Justices to go along, and hoping that most JCS and Generals break his way (a good bet too).

My guess is that Obama encourages OWS violence and uses that to go Self-Coup. He only needs five Supreme Court votes. Then he can rule forever, no worries. He is likely to face a regional revolt though. One that will spread rapidly. My guess is that Obama/the Left have this as Plan C or so.

Yes this is outrageous and far out and with any other man simply impossible. But with a guy raised a Muslim and Communist in Indonesia filled with racial hatred towards Whites and America, anything is possible. And probable.

But what was so incredible about that comment: he said "hang the rich" one sentence after equating pro-capitalism with "hate speech." I've never seen something like that before. Generally someone will make those type of inconsistencies in two separate interviews (like DWS), not one sentence after the other. It's tantamount to saying, "This pen is blue. This pen is red."

Not only is that inprobable; it is absolutely insane.

I think we have to recognize that a coup like the one Whiskey describes is a possibility. But that doesn't mean we have to think it's going to happen.

It's just one scenario among many. Certainly one to be on our guard against, but not one to concentrate on to the neglect of all others.

I think it's far more likely that they'll continue to muddle along the same way they are now. Even if they lose the upcoming election, it will probably be to an establishment insider like Romney -- which means not much will have really changed. Two steps forward, one step back = slower than they'd like, but still "progress".

CorkyAgain said...

... of course, some people might say that the Republicans never actually take any steps back. So the formula is actually two giant steps forward, followed by another baby step forward.

The Left might actually benefit from having a Republican in the White House for a while. The attention-deficit public will soon forget the bad taste Obama has left in their mouths, thus preparing them for the next leap forward. Meanwhile the Republican president's policies will be attacked as "far-right extremism" even though they're actually Democrat-lite...

It seems to me that what is really incredible is his complete ignorance of the fact that the left and the rich are essentially the same thing. The wealthiest 1% of Americans are well to the left of the average American in all respects.

That the Jewish married name contrasts with her maiden name? I don't get it.

What is it with these New York Jews who move to Florida and get elected? DWS seems to be a lot like ex Congressman Grayson. You may remember him for his frothing moonbat ravings, including a speech on the House floor where he said, "I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven't voted sooner to end this holocaust in America".

That would be the holocaust in which people die because the Democrats are having trouble enacting nationalized heath-care. That holocaust.

I agree with "Analytical"--the best way to deal with Leftists is to ridicule them in humorous way. Of course, you have to have a good sense of irony and humor to pull it off, but there is nothing wrong with coining insults and general put downs as well.

Their response is usually one of rage--but thats good as well. It's much easier to tweak someone when they are angry.

I also agree with the poster whose main point was to speak from a position of strength and not one of weakness and desperation. You need to learn to smile at these people while winking at those near them. It's a way of saying you think they're nuts without actually saying it--thus depriving them of the means of reply. Don't agree, just smile and nod in such a way as to intimate they are clueless morons.Practice in the mirror, if it helps. Speaking of which, he is also right in that one must simply accept that this is the (momentary) prevailing belief system one is dealing with.

And, as I have said elsewhere, live a better life. Living well is the best revenge. That's why a wife and children are important. Not only are they the future, but they are wealth and power. Wealth, because they do enrich you, power, because they will come into their own one day--if they have been raised properly. Their success versus the usual inadequacies of children of liberals, is, in itself, a victory. But, it also goes to living well and revenge. I deal with this all the time where my own are concerned. Its very fun to have a child of say 20 who can talk down to a 40-50 something liberal while smiling. It really makes the liberal feel small.

Right. Like almost every other thing leftoids say, it's tied back into their narrative where they just have to spew boilerplate and stick their heads in the sand.

It's like "compromise." See, anybody who won't compromise on anything the leftoids want is a bad guy. This was big recently vis-a-vis the tax/spending impasse. I half expect some leftoid to tell me I'm a bad guy because I won't "meet him half way" over his desire to put a bullet in my head.

Svigor said...

And yes, I'm happy to agree with One that there's no deal to be brokered with leftoids. They're the enemy, and they must be crushed. Period. Obviously the useful idiots are better persuaded than steamrolled, but what I call the "active ingredients"? No.

The cry of "hate" is a tactic, and a very effective one. Until we find out a way to defuse this charge, you'll be wrong about the left self-destructing.

Bah, this ain't about tactics. It's about power. The leftoids are winning because they have the power. It's not like simply finding the perfect rhetoric is going to gain us anything.

The best counter to the hate smear is a counter-charge of hate. And the leftoids are nothing if not vulnerable to the charge. E.g., I want to go my own way, live and let live; the leftoids want the whole (white) world to be leftoid - ergo, they're haters (and psychos) and I'm not.

I know their taste in values is sorely lacking but one should (imho) avoid their thought patterns in every way in addition to shunning their value system

I disagree. In fact, I think we should co-opt as much of their weaponry as possible. A lefty racialism would offer an alternative for those White (leftoids) who are in it for the goodies (most of them, I think).
