The Left's Successful Shift

Guest Posts open to anyone and for any day of the week.

The Left might be full of emasculated betas, incompetent affirmative action hires, and mannish lesbians, but they sure have been successful. The wily leftist elite has pushed the zeitgeist, primarily via ambiguity and baseless invective, to the point where we get stuff like this:

Two notes:

-Notice how many times the exceedingly ambiguous term "hate" is spoken. The pundits and websites targeted by this fake campaign apparently put "hate-filled" rhetoric out in the political arena, yet what the hell does "hate" mean? It's one of those terms brilliantly and repetitively spewed by the left, an instant and pliable argument-stopper that puts pusillanimous conservatives on the defensive. The Left uses this term as a one-size-fits-all means of stigmatizing conservative opinions. Of course, I have ample experience with this term and its synonyms like bigot and racist. I've always wondered though what exactly could I do to avoid such characterization, given I apply my nationalism and radical traditionalism to all peoples equally - answer: nothing besides complete capitulation. And even that often isn't enough, e.g. I once saw an AlterNet conversation where a guy who voted for Cynthia McKinney for President was tarred as a racist.

-HotAir and InstaPundit are examples of conservative sites?!? Wow, the center sure has shifted Left. Those two sites are great examples of tepid conservatism, the type of discourse offered by the mainstream right-wingers that still get invited to Beltway dinner parties. O'Reilly and Hannity fit into that category as well, though I don't put Limbaugh in there with them and I'm confused as to why so many HBDers do.

Isn't this satire? The guy doing this suppose petition seems to be in on the joke--i.e., how easily people exposed only to the mainstream press jump to baseless conclusions about the right (e.g., the teaparty rhetoric was "hateful").

This is from (definitely conservative) media research center... they are trying to make a point about free speech

Lol. Onesdtv (spineless mental midget that he is) just does not undertand parody.

Yes, I got the joke:

But the reactions are genuine and the guy does a great job of repeating exactly what leftists say.

"this fake campaign"

Your anonymous troll is often comicaly over-the-top. Are you coming around to seeing him as a parody, or do you think it's a sincere troll?

I agree with what you say. Satire? OK, clearly it is, but there's a deeper purpose as well. In high school I had to take a course called "Civics." The purpose of this course was to teach you (sort of) how the government worked and your rights and duties as a citizen in a democracy. There were sections on each branch of government and how state and federal governments differed. Also stuff like "How a Bill Becomes a Law." But arguably the most important segment was on the US Constitution, with its amendments and Bill of Rights. This contained all sorts of boring esoterica like, if I remember correctly, our rights to free speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, religious freedom, jury trial, habeas corpus, you know, little things like that. What struck me the most was that the interviewees seemed to have never heard of this stuff. For me, that's the most depressing part.

I'm glad to see you're still posting.

I consider those "pundits" as more detrimental to the cause than helpful. They are indoctrinating good people into the whole "I believe in tolerance" "I'm not a racist but..." BS dogma. These "hate filled" people are still bowing to the altar of diversity.

So annoying. Why is everyone so afraid of pejoratives? Sticks and stones, right?

& OMG thanks so much for the plug!!

It's best to think of words such as hate, when employed by a leftist, as a way of saying they don't like you and wish you'd shut up and stop what you're doing. When I call someone a bastard, I am not making a comment upon their legitimacy, but rather expressing my dislike. To call someone a racist is not quite at that point, but it may arrive there.

FarmerBrown said...

How did the term "hate" join all the other newspeak words that get circulated and that the people happily start using? I mean, gee, who would have the media power to get a term widely used like that? Thats a toughie!

OT but thought you might find this interesting, 1:

BTW, glad you're sticking around. Your posting streak was impressive, but it did feel like you were forcing it sometimes.

Once upon a time the left was on a slightly higher moral ground in many respects (lower in others). Leftists fought against racism, sexism, bigotry, etc. The racists, sexists, and bigots were aligned with the right (along with a lot of people who weren't). Thus the right could easily be targeted as such because some of its legitimate positions could be made to appear racist, sexist, and bigoted.

The irony here is that the left has become even worse now that its been completely taken over by feminists. Anti-male and anti-white sentimentshave been woven into the very fabric of liberalism; so much so that it seems normal and is perfectly acceptable.

That was never true.

Racism? The left was simply siding with blacks over ethnic whites to ethnically cleanse urban areas. Now that the project is complete, the left is free to enjoy city living.

Sexism? The left was siding with ugly women over attractive ones. Attractive women never really had a problem with marriage 1.0 where the woman doesn't work and they live off the husband's earnings (and don't ever divorce) because they got the first pick of men! Unappealing women got the short end of the stick - either marry an unappealing guy or be single and work a bad job (good jobs needed to go to men so they could support families). Worked out well for unattractive women. Now they can become middle managers and lawyers and choke us all to death with their petty demands rather than just the one poor soul who would have married them.

Of course, they dressed it up in prettier language. Talked about fairness and such.

This is why you occasionally read articles by libertarians or conservatives that talk about how this policy or that policy actually undermines the stated goals of progressivism - it makes people dependent or causes people to devalue all university degrees held by NAMs, etc. and somehow progressives never abandon the policies.

"I've always wondered though what exactly could I do to avoid such characterization"

Oh, man, you are priceless. You do realize that a significant portion of your readership self-identifies as racist? As in: "I am a proudly racist white person and I read OneSDTV's blog because it supports my views" is an honest paraphrasing of things written in the comment section of your blog.

Another utterly hilarious moment in the annals of self-delusion: days after whining about how unfair it was that I called you "obnoxious" -- because, of course, you go out of your way to be respectful -- you open with this particular sentence. Not obnoxious at all!

Let's all welcome OneSTDV back to the internet, a total non-racist, super-fair, honest, and respectful blogger. I'm really glad he fixed that problem he was having of only having negative things to say.

Hey Dave--

Tell me exactly what's wrong with racism? I mean really, I want to know why it is that I cannot dislike someone for any reason I like--including their skin color. I mean, frankly, non-whites are mostly very unattractive to me and so the last thing that I would want is a mixed race grandchild. I really don't think I could love a mixed race child. It would just be so much uglier than the rest of my family.

I think the real perverts on this issue are people like you, Dave, who think they have a right to control the thoughts of others--and force them to accept you.

RobertB said...

What is scary is the lack of knowledge on the parts of these people and their willingness to engage in Fascism. That's what is scary here.

Anonymous said...

A lot of non-whites in this film, particularly various types of Asians. Don't know if the filmmaker selected them or if they just happened to come along or if they were just more likely to sign. In any case, it's a small warning shot to all those conservatives who support massive immigration or say "I'm for immigration, I'm just against ILLEGAL immigration. When non-whites become the majority the first and second amendment will have one foot in the grave. You can have freedom or you can have diversity, you can't have both.

Anonymous said...

Robert,

Depending on the admixture, mixed race children are usually quite beautiful. Look up the family histories of top models.

Anonymous said...

Not really. White/black mixes are mostly just a lighter-skinned version of black. People call them beautiful for the same reason they call Downs syndrome kids "perfect."

Anonymous said...

Some mixes look good, as long as the white features dominate and the other race just adds a hint of exotic. The problem with non-white features is the introduction of the flat aboriginal nose, kinky hair, and the obliteration of fair skin and non-brown eyes.

"Lol. Onesdtv (spineless mental midget that he is) just does not undertand parody."

Hilarious that this anonymous moron lacking in reading comprehension skills doesn't get that the genuineness of the respondents was the issue not the "FAKE campaign."

Anyhoo...Anything that comes after "I believe in free speech BUT..." is usually just some form of tyrrany.

You know, for a moment this comment came across as a right wing criticism of OSTDV (for not embracing the label).

Sadly, more and more people seem to relish giving Dave & his kind the vapors. Just check out the comments by whites on any Youtube news video. Including those where the racial angle of a story may not be terribly obvious, or has been downplayed on purpose. A "WAY-CIS" is just a synonym for anyone of any race with functioning corneas.

Oh come on, these idiots at MRC want to make a point about how liberals are authoritarian so they choose the dumbest most uninformed liberal college students to display to their base and demonstrate how dangerous us libs are. I could do the same thing with a group of College Republicans. This video is a hitjob that does nothing to demonstrate the mindset of most liberals and our attitude to 1A. And before anyone starts, yes our side does this to you cons too.

I think it's pretty weird, but go for it. I'm not stopping you.

What I object to is the stupidity. One is claiming accusations of racism come to him out of the blue. No, they come to him because he publishes stuff that appeals to people like you, who proudly describe themselves as racist. You are his target audience.

"I think the real perverts on this issue are people like you, Dave, who think they have a right to control the thoughts of others--and force them to accept you."

I never tried to control your thoughts. You're the one who brags about BEATING people because they were too old to date college students, so fuck off. Your pity party is cancelled. No one came.

@9D
"You know, for a moment this comment came across as a right wing criticism of OSTDV (for not embracing the label). "

That's because it's the fucking same criticism, dum-dum. Both I (on the left) and One's admittedly racist readership on the right think One writes a racist blog.

@ Dave:

But what could I say about racial behavioral and cognitive differences that would NOT be considered racist?

Can I say American whites (just like Koreans in Korea and Mexicans in Mexico) have a right to defend their own culture and nation without being labeled a racist?

Again, it just seems like a no-win for anyone with eyes and anyone who gives American whites any cultural privileges.

Nine-of-Diamonds said...

Heh. Apologies for provoking more monkeyshines from "D". He failed to realize I was referring to confusion @ the SOURCE of the criticism (Leftist? Conservative?) when I first skimmed the comments (of course the argument is the same regardless of who makes it-wonder if he figured that gem out on his own).

Probably not, b/c the average Negro apologist can no more pay attention to opposing posts than he can admit to himself how much his pet race loathes him. Oh well.

Granted, it is depressing for the anti-racists to see Black Run America imploding around them. Even more depressing, they now regularly find themselves confronted on the 'net; just 5 years ago the "DAS WAYSIS" Unified Internet Debating Strategem worked fine. This frustration explains, in part, the profanity-laced tantrums, stupid pointing out of the obvious, etc etc.

"Again, it just seems like a no-win for anyone with eyes and anyone who gives American whites any cultural privileges."

You actually think "anti racists" are arguing in good faith? For your sake I really hope you're just trying to humor our pet Negrophile, and not hoping for intellectual honesty. Forget trying to engage him - just poke a stick in his cage from time to time. :)

I *have* noticed more profanity coming from Dave of late. A race-leftist with any intellectual integrity is not in an enviable position. Not to say that Dave is motivated by anything beyond the chance to offer up some priggish sanctimony, but let's give him the benefit of the doubt and see thing from his perspective:

Blacks by and large do not act in line with their noble representations on television. They do not like Dave any more than they like me. His ideological side is increasingly reliant on intimidation and effeminate snark while race-realists make cogent arguments. YouTube and LiveLeak do not lie.

Brezhnev had his armor divisions, but his regime's entire cadre, top to bottom, was just going through the motions. Such is the analogy to today's race-leftists in America. The true-believers of the sixties are ageing dinosaurs, and their ideological heirs two generations removed are coming to a realization that their ship is sinking.

No, Dave, it wasn't about dating college students, it was about college age males chasing teenager girls because their penis size and maturity level was such that they couldn't get a girl their own age--much less a real woman.
