Obama: No "Us" vs. "Them"

In two posts this week, I've stressed the importance of knowing the basic motivations and values of America's elite. And while the elite, buttressed by a liberal zeitgeist they've help create, aren't known for discreetness, they will sometimes present a less than honest outward front. In the current political landscape with populist ire continuing to bubble, liberal politicians have begun engaging in this type of obfuscation.

Yesterday, Obama made some statements on illegal immigrants:
“Let’s provide a pathway to citizenship for those who are already here, understanding that they broke the law, so they’re going to have to pay a fine and pay back taxes and, I think, learn English, make sure that they don’t have a criminal record,” said Obama. “There are some hoops that they’re going to have to jump through, but giving them a pathway is the right thing to do.
Liberalism works via persistence. They start with some reasonable, yet ultimately harmful initiative, then slowly and gradually become more radical as public opinion shifts. Above, Obama presents a speciously reasonable plan that will, no doubt, ultimately lead to full, unencumbered amnesty for illegals. But he continues and makes the following statement that one can only understand in the context of modern liberal thought:
“Now, unfortunately, right now this is getting demagogued,” Obama said. “A lot of folks think it’s an easy way to score political points is by trying to act as if there’s a ‘them’ and an ‘us,’ instead of just an ‘us.’ And I’m always suspicious of politics that is dividing people instead of bringing them together. I think now is the time for us to come together.”
To the idealistic moderates and apathetics, this is nothing more than a feel-good, Disney type appeal for "can't we all just get along." But to the informed, Obama is clearly appealing to a globalist conception of man. Now before you accuse me of Alex Jones, New World Order lunacy here, I mean that Obama believes borders and nations have no pragmatic, intrinsic, or moral value. To him, there is no "us" vs. "them" simply because the American people and their country exist as a mere conduit for the success of others (mostly third-worlders). In essence, "we" doesn't really exist as "we" have no moral autonomy.

By rejecting this salient distinction, Obama champions the neocon/liberal idea of a proposition nation. And as I've said before, "[t]he "proposition nation" fails due to its inherent globalism."

Yet more proof that the elite wants to destroy the middle class -- in this case, by replacing them with foreigners and driving down their wages.

Actually, Obama considers most citizens of Western nations to be the rich, spoiled descendants of evil Colonialists, in possession of stolen capital. He hates us and wants to harm us.

"No us vs. them?" What planet is this guy on? Us vs. them is one of the oldest and most deeply hard-wired characteristics of human beings. The ability to recognize outsiders and treat them with caution until it can be determined if they are friendly or hostile is just elementary...tribes that lacked that ability were very quickly subdued, enslaved, or killed. Period. End of story.

Obama himself doesn't even buy this crap. It was only 2-1/2 years he was making speeches about people who "cling to their guns and religion," making it very clear that his opinion was that people who hold views that are to his mind so backward and unsophisticated are "them."

Really, this is the attitude of much of the elite. Thus, we have politicians, corporations, media, universities, et alia favoring open borders, promoting multicultism, etc.

But bear in mind there is an "us versus them" insofar as they see themselves as the New Class or Managerial Class or The Party working for their own interests against those of the middle.

And they do so on an international scale. Thus, it is no longer country against country, but rather elites using the global underclass against the Western middle.

Mighty sneaky, yet all out in the open!

People should be commenting on this. The author overlooks that there are good reasons for these people to be angry (Auster rebuts immigration arguments

So this is where the our President and the open borders crowd have taken us?

Illegal aliens costs do not justify their expense. For example, California's central valley is plagued by endemic criminal Mestizos and Amerindians gangs.

Unfortunately, Mexicans traditionally have had a low regard for education with only 13% of Mexican adults have a high school education.

See link: http://www.worldfund.org/index.php?q=Education-Gap.html

International PISA average academic scores for Mexicans taught reading, mathematics and science in Spanish are as bad, if not worse than Mestizos and Amerindians who have fled here. PISA education officials estimate over 50% of Mexican 15-year old youth today are functionally illiterate and thus unable to compete in Mexico's economy.

The sad fact is granting citizenship to millions of scientifically ignorant, functionally illiterate and mathematically innumerate manual laborers will drastically lower the U.S. standard of living.

So how well do Hispanic Mestizos and Amerindians do academically in the US?

US Department of Education NAEP 2005 figures:

Caucasian NAEP 8th Grade Science Percentage Scores
===========================================
Percent Below Basic -BB | Basic -B | Proficient -P | Advanced -A |
BB | B | P | A |
28 | 35 | 34 | 4 |

Hispanic NAEP 8th Grade Science Percentage Scores
===========================================
Percent Below Basic -BB | Basic -B | Proficient -P | Advanced -A |
BB | B | P | A |
67 | 24 | 9 |<1 |

In 2005, over 90% of US Hispanic 8th graders score below proficient in science.

In a related development, this week, the Economist reports in "Biology of Business" that; "Decisions based on an accurate picture of human nature have a better chance of succeeding than those that are not. For instance, if job satisfaction and leadership turn out to have large genetic components, greater emphasis might be placed on selection than on training."

Every week biologists continue to unravel more of the human genome and inform us their findings.
The 'nurture only' or 'Blank Slate' paradigm for explaining human abilities and behavior has given way to a nature *and* nurture paradigm. And the effectiveness and predictive powers of this new science will only increase as more data are gathered. Many can attempt to limit their imaginations to the blank slate theory, however, as Dr Shane explains to the Economist reporter, "pretending DNA has no bearing on working life does not make those influences go away, it just makes everyone ignorant of what they are ..."

That a pupil's learning capacity is made up of nature *and* nurture is anathema to educators. They believe the environment can overcome biology, to their discredit.

In addition, today Time magazine reports: "Too much soda, candy and bad parenting have been cleared of full blame for children's hyperactivity and uncontrollable behavior at least according to a new study that has identified certain genetic abnormalities associated with ADHD.

Most strikingly, the rate of CNVs was six times as high as normal in ADHD children who had IQs lower than 70 and so had a more severe form of the disorder — there were 50 such children.

Hmmm, bad parenting not to blame for ADHD, I wonder how many millions the U.S. has thrown at this problem, only to now discover the source of the problem is genetic.

Quite possibly in five to seven years once biologists have identified the ~2500 genes mostly responsible for IQ and memory, an accelerating US brain drain will begin in earnest as astute national leaders cherry pick our best and brightest while our Barack Obama and our political elite deny biology and evolution.
