As I stated in last Friday's post, America is now considered a globalist entity lacking a substantial history besides a bunch of malevolent, dead, white males. To the left, this nation I luckily call my home, exists merely as a vestige of an embarrassing past. Fittingly, it has no redeemable attributes that would warrant its further existence. Instead, the left seeks to remake this country, displacing the majority demographic and replacing cultural edifices with more "colorful" ones. No matter that most of these proposed changes will depress the aforementioned indicators of preeminence and motivate further cultural decay.

It is funny to see them still blaming "the man" when Obama and Duncan are just that. It is put up or shut up time, but of course they will do neither.
There were several nations on that list which were not small and several that were not homogeneous. Singapore, Canada, US, UK to name a few. I've never seen one ounce of evidence to suggest that a heterogenous nation comprised of high IQ ethnic groups functions less well than a homogenous nation. There don't all work- Yugoslavia probably did not suffer from lack of innate ability (though from a genetic standpoint, it was barely multi ethnic), but then North Korea doesn't suffer from lack of innate potential either.
OneSTDV, your moniker suggests that you have some kind of respect for the concept of statistics. If you want to draw a conclusion which can be easily empirically validated or dismissed, why don't you simply do a quantitative analysis about your hypothesis? What is the correlation between GDP and ethnic homogeneity?

This reminds me of the money magazine "best cities to live" list they do every year. If you look at how they do the ratings, they exclude any city which is 95% or more white from their list.

I think you are assuming that it will be used in a way you agree with, rather than, say, parents engineering their children to be more aggressive, less trusting, and less generous. (Those ends usually are met by met selection today.)

I'm just a bit skeptical of this . . . most engineering requires a good deal of testing, trial, and error to get things right.
Possibly our society would refuse to engage in the necessary testing trial and error to master genetic engineering.
I do think it's possible, even likely, that future technologies will solve the problem of the underclass.
Even now, technologies like surveillance cameras and DNA testing are doing a great deal to cut the rate of NAM crime.
Surveillance cameras in Britain are widespread. And useless. They identify, after the fact, perps who receive at most very light sentences. Because there is lack of will to punish perps. Not the least of which is that it costs money, and also runs against elite ideology (use criminals to punish ordinary people).

Of course, genetic engineering is only one of several technologies which could be used to deal with NAM behavior. Others include: virtual reality, implantable microchips, or extremely advanced robotics which would do most of the manual labor in the country. With the slightest bit of political will, crime could be dramatically reduced in major cities through the use of cameras.
Separate from this is the argument of what to do in the meantime before these technologies arrive. All of the standard arguments that people in the HBD sphere make still apply; therefore, a strong anti-NAM/low iq case can still be made.

The type of rhetoric in the quoted article is far different than the "hearts minds and friendship" delusion that pervades many of his other pieces on Islam and Muslims. So I commend him for that.

As for your other comments: I'll throw you a bone and I say I think no American should put the interests of another nation (i.e. Israel) above the interests of this nation. There are a number of Jewish elites, like Anthony Weiner or guys at AIPAC, who see America as merely vehicle to maintain Israeli hegemony in the Middle East and advocate different political standards for the two countries, e.g. immigration restriction racist for America, but OK for Israel. These individuals should be denounced, no doubt about it. (Side note: As Mangan has recently said, I do somewhat admire Israel's political right.)

Firstly, you could apply the same criteria to a number of American STATES or even COUNTIES and have them rank higher than those countries. Example:
Norway: 5 million people, $53,737 GDP per capita, life expectancy 79.8 yrs
Connecticut: 3.5 million people, $54,117 per capita income, life expectancy 78.7 yrs
Iceland: 320,000 people, $53,058 GDP per capita, life expectancy 81.8 yrs
Marin County, California: 250,000 people, $91,483 income per capita, life expectancy 80.8 yrs
Montgomery County, Maryland: 950,880 people, $67,525 income per capita, life expectancy 81.8 yrs
So hey, if I have a choice between Norway and Marin County, hmmm, at least they speak English in Marin County, and they don't eat Lutefisk for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Secondly we should note that the global elites in a number of those small, homogeneous (for now) countries are actively trying to bring in a NAM underclass to destroy their homogeneous character. Sweden, Australia, Norway, Canada, and the Netherlands fit this description. Only Japan is resisting the lure of NAM immigration. But who wants to live there if you're not Japanese?

This is because you're uneducated generally, not because it doesn't exist. See, for example, Amy Chua's excellent book "World on Fire" for some great examples.

The "Medieval Industrial Revolution" starting around 1000 AD created enormous wealth. Bruges, and Brussels, were tremendous wealth creators because of wool, and textiles. This from a region with generally poor farming, bad weather, cold most of the year, and experiencing a mini ice age around 1300 AD to 1850 or so. The Renaissance started a full century before Columbus discovered America OR Spain finally reconquered its territory from Muslim colonization.
Muslim Colonization did little produce wealth in its lands. Spain, the biggest colonizer, got relatively little wealth from New World Gold and Silver and exports. Germany, without colonies, was far wealthier than Spain with them. Indeed MOST European nations never had much colonies in the first place. Italy, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and Greece, had few to no colonies.
It might well be a Black Planet. That would be characterized by the type of violence seen in Liberia, Rwanda, the Congo (over 7 million slaughtered by fellow Africans in the last ten years in war still ongoing), Sierra Leone, and Ivory Coast. The survey of 1,600 people had a margin of error of 3.4 percentage points.

I really don't think you can extrapolate even that, as others have pointed out, there are a number of exceptions to this rule in your list.
Why stop at #3? Australia is not homogenous. I don't know what you mean by monolithic?

Europe also colonised a lot of other countries in Africa and Asia and they are certainly not on that list.
Perhaps the only consistent variable is the presence of majority racial groups that are not low IQ i.e. whites and East Asians.

Actually, and I hate to be this aspergery, the columnist is wrong.
I went and bothered to look at a list of countries ranked by population:

Of the list of the 30 best countries, only 8 have a lower population than the world median, which is Finland. Thus, the columnist made an objectively incorrect statement. The best countries in the world actually tend to be larger than average.
I'd wager that the tendency towards homogeneity is technically correct, but this is because if you wanted to measure it, nearly all middle eastern and african countries are comprised of multiple ethnic groups and most European and East Asian nations are relatively homogenous. Well, that is unless you decided you could count sub saharans as a single ethnicity. If you did, I would wager that you would find no positive correlation between racial homogeneity and pleasant living area.

Qualify: It depends on the measure of wealth we use:
In terms of "Were the average wages relatively high?", "Did average people have relatively more capital/stuff?" and "Did people avoid famine?", then that is true.
In terms of "Did they have goods which could not easily be substituted and could only be produced in other climate zones?" and "Did they not have some goods that some people in other countries had?" and "Were their kings and emperors (and to a limited extent other apex predators on the peasantry and merchants classes) as ridiculously, opulently, extravagently rich?" the answer is false.
Certainly, quality of life would have been enormously better in Euro descended countries than other countries even with no colonialism and to a great extent even with a kind of regional autarky. Whether it would be as high as in a colonial world is a fun question.

Canada, the US, and the UK were all homogeneous in the not very distant past. And they became very successful countries in the time in which they were homogeneous.
Even today, the UK is still over 90% white.

What if this same list was compiled 3000 years ago?
I'd imagine most "white" and even asian countries ranking at or near the bottom and black (such as Nubia, Ethiopia and Egypt) and middle eastern countries (such as Assyria, Persia, Lebanon etc) ranking at or near the top.
This list proves nothing more than the fact that things change and no one stays on top forever.
This while "NAM" IQ notion is BS because of the above.
