Parallels between Liberal and Religious Creationism

Liberal creationism dominates mainstream scientific discourse (ask James Watson). This false viewpoint defines race as a social construct and states that human subgroups/races have equal intelligence distributions. They contend any inequality is due to societal or environmental impulses. These "believers" do accept evolution by natural selection, but intensely reject any sociological or cognitive implications of the theory.

These educated, liberal elitists believe their shallow acceptance of evolution distinguishes them from the ignorant "Jesus freaks". Yet, it is amusing how closely liberal creationism matches the creationism supported by religious fundamentalists. See chart below:

Nice table.

Shouldn't it be ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). Otherwise, nice table.

Just stumbled onto this issue. As I live neither in the Bible belt nor an ivory tower, I was unaware of the debate about liberal creationsim.

Are you saying that the different races have evolved, through natural selection, to have distinctly different degrees of intelligence? (I had always assumed that the differences were more cultural than genetic.)

Is there any scientific support for this theory?

Hilarious.

Yes that is exactly what I'm saying. But look around my blogroll at the various sites. Start by looking into Steve Sailer's archives, look at this site's "Favorite posts" for some basic arguments on it, look into work by Charles Murray, Michael Levin's "Why Race Matters", work by Rushton and Richard Lynn, and read my very quick, easy to understand primer here:

Do google searches on race and intelligence. Avoid mainstream academia because it's dominated by PC rhetoric.

Here's the most basic summary: The races have clearly evolved different physical adaptions to the different environments they were subjected to. It's almost insane to assume that intelligence distributions (and genes) evovled identically as well? Then when we look at eveyr single mental examination ever produced, the same One standard deviation gap between blacks/whites exists. Then we look at people who attend the same schools from the same neighborhoods with similarly educated parents, and the same exact gap (1 STDV) comes up. I could keep oging, but just look into it with an open mind.

Thank you, OneSTDV, for your table. It clarifies various talking points a friend and I discussed yesterday on the similarities between liberal and religious dogmas. It's good to see them brought into focus.

Great little article and chart! I wrote something so similar to this on a skepticism/science discussion board that had been invaded by some PC liberals trying to denounce me and some other posters as "racists" for comparing running ability between the races and saying race actually exists(the horror!). At least 2 of these liberals are scientists or at least claimed to be.

Me and my fellow anti-liberals handed their asses to them when they were unable to answer any of our questions and were exposed as the lying propagandists that they really are.

The main difference between your article and my article(s) was that I stressed it would require nothing short of a supernatural explanation for how mankind stopped evolving 100,000 or so years ago so that there would be no racial differences in modern humans. That evolution was completely halted thousands of years ago to prevent racial differences encapsulates "liberal creationism" pretty well, I believe.

I think we've all had these arguments where the liberal creationists inevitably accuse us of racism. It's their best tactic because they have absolutely no answer to our data.

To the deluded lib creationists, evolution did actually stop 100,000 years ago. To them, it only made trivial differences like hair color. Just from anecdotal evidence, everyone knows this is absurd. But like their religious brethren, their view is based in faith, not reason.
